The goal of a Backgammon match is to shift your pieces around the game board and pull those pieces from the board faster than your challenger who works harder to do the same buthowever they move in the opposite direction. Succeeding in a match of Backgammon needsrequires both strategy and good luck. How far you will be able to shift your checkers is up to the numbers from tossing the dice, and how you shift your pieces are determined by your overall gambling strategies. Players use a few techniques in the different stages of a match based on your positions and opponent’s.
The Running Game Strategy
The goal of the Running Game plan is to bring all your pieces into your home board and bear them off as fast as you can. This plan focuses on the speed of advancing your pieces with absolutely no efforts to hit or stop your opponent’s chips. The best time to employ this technique is when you believe you can shift your own chips a lot faster than your opposition does: when 1) you have less checkers on the board; 2) all your pieces have past your competitor’s chips; or 3) your opposing player does not use the hitting or blocking strategy.
The Blocking Game Tactic
The primary goal of the blocking plan, by its name, is to stop the competitor’s pieces, temporarily, not worrying about moving your pieces rapidly. Once you have created the blockade for the competitor’s movement with a couple of chips, you can move your other pieces swiftly from the game board. You really should also have a good plan when to back off and move the pieces that you employed for blocking. The game gets interesting when the competitor uses the same blocking technique.
