The goal of a Backgammon game is to shift your pieces around the game board and get those pieces off the game board quicker than your competitor who works harder to do the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Winning a match in Backgammon needsrequires both tactics and good luck. How far you will be able to shift your checkers is left to the numbers from tossing the dice, and just how you move your checkers are determined by your overall gambling techniques. Players use differing strategies in the different stages of a game depending on your positions and opponent’s.

The Running Game Strategy

The aim of the Running Game plan is to entice all your pieces into your home board and pull them off as quick as you can. This plan focuses on the speed of shifting your chips with little or no time spent to hit or barricade your opponent’s checkers. The best scenario to use this strategy is when you think you can move your own pieces quicker than the opposing player does: when 1) you have less pieces on the game board; 2) all your chips have moved beyond your competitor’s chips; or 3) your opposing player does not use the hitting or blocking tactic.

The Blocking Game Technique

The primary aim of the blocking plan, by its title, is to stop the competitor’s chips, temporarily, while not fretting about moving your chips quickly. Once you have created the blockade for the competitor’s movement with a few pieces, you can shift your other chips rapidly from the board. You really should also have a good plan when to back off and shift the chips that you employed for blocking. The game gets intriguing when the opponent uses the same blocking technique.
